Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial
Annual Events
Annual Events
The Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial is host to two extremely important events which pay tribute to the 137 names etched into the memorial walls. Both with dignified celebrations, and one as a fundraising event for the perpetual upkeep, continued improvements/additions, and etching of names.
Each takes place at the beginning of National Police Week, a time frame designated by President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Established by a joint resolution of Congress, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. Don't forget to mark your calendar on May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Join the hundreds who celebrate these annual events to show your support.
